Description

  • MA5-14540 targets Calretinin in WB and IHC (P) applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples
  • The MA5-14540 immunogen is recombinant full-length mouse calretinin protein
  • Calretinin is encoded by the CALB2 gene located on chromosome 16
  • It is a troponin C superfamily protein having six EF-hand structural motifs
  • The EF motif allows the protein to bind calcium, and function in calcium signaling, calcium buffering, and modulating neuronal excitability
  • Calretinin is expressed in the mesothelium, mast cells, some neural cells, hair follicles, and fat cells.
