- This antibody antibody detects a 110 kDa* protein on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of PMA-differentiated THP1 human macrophages
- In addition, the antibody detects a mouse recombinant phospho-NLRC4 (Ser-533) peptide, but does not detect this peptide after lambda phosphatase treatment
- NLRC4 encodes a member of the caspase recruitment domain-containing NLR family
- Family members play essential roles in innate immune response to a wide range of pathogenic organisms, tissue damage and other cellular stresses
- Mutations in this gene result in autoinflammation with infantile enterocolitis
- Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
