Description

  • Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 1mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min
  • Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature
  • A suggested positive control is prostate adenocarcinoma or fetal kidney
  • Slit homolog 2 proteins (SLIT2) are ligands for the Roundabout (Robo) receptors and act as molecule guidance cues in cell migration
  • Slit1 and Slit2 are essential for midline guidance in the forebrain by acting as repulsive signals preventing inappropriate midline crossing by axons projecting from the olfactory bulb
  • Slit2 protein is expressed in fetal lung and kidney, and adult spinal cord
  • Weak expression is also noticed in adult adrenal gland, thyroid, and trachea
  • SLIT2 is a target for repression by EZH2 and is up-regulated in prostate cancer.
